Piedmont Avenue is a very popular Oakland neighborhood. With its wide variety of shops, restaurants, coffee houses, and movie theatre mixed with a broad selection of housing from cute bungalows to large condo complexes, its no wonder this area has such a diverse ethnic make up and cross section of age. Residents love the neighborhoods friendly atmosphere and ease for strolling to wherever and whatever you want to do. Single family homes and duplexes have higher price tags while many condos can be bought at very reasonable prices. When they do leave, residents sell their homes and move reluctantly from this area. Its a hard one to beat.
